How do I rate a movie on CinemaIP?

Open the Be the Critic page, tap on any movie currently playing in theatres, and drag or tap the star row to choose your rating. CinemaIP supports half-star ratings from 0.5 to 5.0 for precision. You can also add a written review before submitting.

Do I need to create an account to write a review?

You can browse movies and see the rating interface without an account, but you need to be logged in to submit a review. Creating a CinemaIP account is free and takes less than a minute.

Can I edit my movie review after submitting?

Yes. If you have already reviewed a movie, your existing rating and review will be pre-filled when you open the movie card. You can update both your star rating and written review at any time.

What movies are available to review?

The Critic page shows all movies currently playing in theatres across India, updated in real time. This includes Bollywood, Tollywood, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other regional films currently running in cinemas.

How does the half-star rating system work?

Each star is split into two touch zones. Tap the left half of a star to select a 0.5 increment (e.g. 2.5), and the right half for a full star (e.g. 3.0). This gives you 10 rating levels from 0.5 to 5.0 for a more precise opinion.

Can I share my movie review on social media?

Yes. After submitting a review you can tap "Share Your Review" to generate a premium share card featuring the movie poster, your star rating, and rating label. Share it directly to Instagram Stories, WhatsApp, Twitter, or any other app via the native share sheet.

Can I filter or sort the movies on the Critic page?

Yes. Tap the Filter button in the top-right corner of the page to sort movies by Default, Latest release, IMDb rating (Popular), or A–Z. You can also filter to show only movies you have already reviewed or only movies you have not yet rated.

Where can I see all my past reviews?

All your submitted reviews are saved to your CinemaIP account. Visit your Dashboard and open the Activity tab to see a full history of every movie you have rated and reviewed.
