Con Safos became a platform for expression of this once invisible minority. Con Safos: Reflections Of Life In The Barrio Documentary VOD As time passes, so have the dynamic personalities that embodied this Chicano literary movement. Their presence may be gone, but the need for expression, activism and organization continues. We thank you, Con Safos pioneers, for your spirit and your talents, and for documenting the unique Chicano experience. Your search for identity planted seeds in the community, which blossomed and grew into a dynamic cultural influence. However, the fight for equality, understanding and inclusion is far from over; the need for social activism continues. We must continue to post, publish, and organize to promote the beauty and the angst of the Chicano experience, to build on the legacy that Con Safos provided. The work isn't over, it is up to the new generations to keep the momentum and expression alive, striving for a voice and equality.
