Bandhan was released in 1991. Produced by Chelaram Bhatia & Lalchand Bhatia and directed by Anant Mane. The plot of the movie is based on a woman's persistence that men are inferior and the extent she would go to prove her point. The protagonist of this film Pramila, is a modern girl who harbors hatred towards men. She is the Secretary of a women's awareness group and believes that men marry women to treat them like slaves. One day, Mohan (the hero), attends one of the women's group meeting with his sister where Pramila is addressing the gathering on the topic of 'men'. The lecture is converted into a debate and Pramila states that women are superior to men. She challenges Mohan that she will do whatever he ca! Taking up the challenge he says, "I am willing to marry you, are you ready to do the same?" This causes a commotion among the audience but Pramila accepts the challenge with an intention of teaching him a lesson. —Everest Entertainment Pramila is a modern girl who hates men and runs NGO for women awareness her father Anna wants her to get married but she is not all interested.Mohan comes across Pramila and her nature and decides to marry her to show that she has wrong image of men but his sister Janki is against it as she is well aware of Pramila.After putting some conditions to Mohan and Janki Pramila decides to marry him so that she could teach him a lesson after their marriage they shift to their village where Pramila starts to live her modern life while Mohan continues his life making them complete strangers even after marriage.But later Pramila realizes the actual power of being women and decides to help other women in the village. —alex.mjacko@gmail.com
