A devastated Marga goes to her room and takes refuge there, while the Boss and Don Sebastián plot her kidnapping. Don Sebastián takes her to a cabin in the middle of the jungle, intending to bend her will and finally make her agree to be his wife. Alberto, meanwhile, worried about Marga's absence, makes inquiries until Laurita confesses what happened. Using clues he finds, he locates the area where Marga could be and goes in search of her. He goes deeper into the jungle, suffering great hardships, but does not abandon the search. Meanwhile, Marga remains a prisoner in the cabin, receiving pressure from Don Sebastián, but she has the strength to resist and despise him. Alberto is bitten by a snake and begins to feel the symptoms of the deadly poison, but he continues on and manages to locate the cabin where Marga is, telling her that the story Laurita told is false and that he has sought her out in the jungle to tell her that she is his only love. Don Sebastián is prepared to let him die, allowing the poison to take effect, but Marga, demonstrating her love for Alberto, tells him that if he saves him, she will stay there as his wife. Don Sebastián is moved by this display of nobility and applies healing plants to Alberto that neutralize the poison, telling the couple to go together to live their great love. —Humberto Lucero, Buenos Aires, Argentina
