Blue Panther

Marie-Chantal Froidevaux des Chatenets travels by train to her cousin's home in order to spend a winter holiday, when a stranger - apparently a fugitive from somewhere abroad - entrusts her with transporting a jewel in the shape of the head of a blue tiger with ruby eyes over the Swiss border. Unknown to her, this phony jewel contains within it a virus that is powerful enough to destroy all mankind. Doctor Kha is just one of many spies from different nations that are trying to get their hands on either the jewel or Marie-Chantal...it would give any nation tremendous control over all of the others. Marie-Chantal, a snobbish socialite, evades all attacks on her by sheer female cunning and shows tigerish qualities in dealing with both her male and female foes. —Artemis-9 Marie-Chantal Froidevaux des Chatenets and her cousin are taking the train to Davos, Switzerland for a skiing vacation. While they are sitting at a table in the dining car, a man is seated with them. He has just murdered a man and taken a brooch that is a blue panther head with a pair of ruby eyes. He implores Marie-Chantal to take it from him surreptitiously as her offers her a cigarette. She needs to hide it somewhere safe and keep her eyes open until he can get it back again. She agrees to do so. Suddenly, a bevy of other passengers are intensely interested in her. That is because the ruby eyes actually contain enough deadly virus to wipe-out the entire population of the Earth. As such, it is a great value to Russia and more specifically to a Dr. Kha. Marie-Chantal stitches the jeweled head onto her garters so that it will not be found when her room is searched. At the ski resort, the original thief is hit by a poison dart as he rides the lift to rendezvous with her. His dying comments is to only give it up to a specific person in Morrocco. Marie-Chantal is saved by a journalist, Paco Castillo. Everyone heads for Morrocco. Marie-Chantal is pursued as she tries to find the proper recipient in the Kasbah. Once again, Paco saves her. A relationship is blooming between them as they work together to keep Dr. Kha and the Russians from getting the blue tiger. Marie out-foxes her adversaries by transferring the eyes to a pair of earrings. —Garon Smith While traveling to Switzerland with her cousin Hubert de Ronsac by train, the gorgeous French Marie-Chantal meets Bruno Kerrien in the restaurant wagon. He gives a blue panther jewel with ruby eyes to her to keep in her guard since he is under watch. When Bruno is murdered in Switzerland, he asks her to give the jewel to a man in Marrocco before dying. She travels with Hubert to Marocco and soon she learns that several secret agents and terrorists chasing her to retrieve the Blue Panther. She befriends a man named Paco Castillo that protects her and discloses that he works to Prof. Lambaré, who wants to destroy a powerful virus hidden in the ruby eyes.
