We must look past what is being presented and look directly into the heart of the matter. And we rise above our normal way of thinking. "Moving Forward (Past, Present and the Future of Black America)" is a documentary that will educate, inspire, heal and unify our community. The theme of this film is the African in America. And 98% of this film's contributions were made by African Americans. This documentary is divided into five segments and is narrated by Santo Moss, Founder of HTL Ministry. "Moving Forward (Past, Present and the Future of Black America)" address the effects of slavery on African-Americans; including the mental effects of this terror which has been passed down from generation to generation. It will not only address those courageous individuals who came before us, such as Harriet Tubman and Fredrick Douglas, but it will also inform the viewers of whom we were before this atrocity stripped us of our true identity. "Moving Forward" does not only reflect on the frustration and hardships African-Americans face; but also provide solutions to learn how to survive and prosper despite these difficulties. This film touches on topics such as family foundation, black economics, race reconciliation and much more.
