Crossing Cuban space and time, from Santiago to Havana, from the twenties to the dawn of the 21st century, Compay talks about himself. The documentary follows his unique course, showing his meetings with the greatest musicians of the island, revealing the intimate portrait of a man and of a country, as mythical as unknown. On stage, Compay casts a glance over the women in the front row, makes some sensual movements, sometimes even indecent ones, shortly, he plays the lustful old man.
