Ernest Cole: Lost and Found
Follows Ernest Cole's journey as the first Black freelance photographer in apartheid South Africa. In the 1950s, Ernest Cole worked as a photographer in his native South Africa, and eventually became very critical of the apartheid system. This led to him being forced to flee in the 1960s, and he ended up in New York with a suitcase full of negatives. Through several parallel stories, we get a nuanced insight into the photographer's life. However, all the stories ultimately lead to the same place - a vault in Stockholm.
