As a thrill-seeking friend re-enters Becky's ruined life, the two experienced climbers embark on a high-risk adventure to the top of the abandoned B67 TV tower. Now, two mortals seek to conquer the anxiety-inducing, vertigo-inspiring, 2,000-foot construction of weather-beaten metal and rattling rivets in the middle of the Mojave desert. But out there, even the slightest mistake can spell trouble. When the risky climb doesn't go as planned, the two women must summon every last ounce of courage and strength to devise a plan for a safe return home--or die trying. Two thrill-seeking mountaineers climb a 2,000-foot television tower in the middle of the desert. This was meant to be sort of therapy after a friend died while climbing a mountain with them. However, after a series of mishaps they are left stranded at the top of the tower. Following the tragic loss of her fiancé after a rock climbing incident, rock climber Becky falls into a spiral of depression, and her friend Hunter, feeling she just needs a bit of a thrill to help her convinces her to climb the B-67, a 2,000 foot abandoned radio tower. However, the climb up the tower doesn't go as they planned and they find themselves trapped on the top of the tower. If they want to survive, they must dig down deep within themselves Becky (Grace Caroline Currey), her husband Dan (Mason Gooding), and their mutual friend Hunter (Virginia Gardner) are a well-coordinated team. They spend their free time on spectacular, steep cliffs, which they conquer with minimal gear, sometimes using free-climbing techniques. One day, tragedy strikes: Dan falls to his death. Becky can't get over the loss of her husband. She shuts herself away at home and has suicidal thoughts. She brusquely rebuffs her father James (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who wasn't a big fan of Dan's. Then Hunter unexpectedly shows up at Becky's door. She makes her living as a blogger covering dangerous climbing adventures. And she has something very special in mind: she wants to drive out to the desert with Becky to climb an old, abandoned TV tower - the B67 Tower. The tower resembles a needle. It is one of the tallest buildings in the U.S., extremely narrow, and extremely dilapidated. Long ropes connect the tower to the ground and provide support. The structure, which is off-limits to the public, is rusting, and some of the huge bolts holding the ladder rungs in place are coming loose from their anchors. Halfway to the top are two old satellite dishes. All around the tower is desert, a no-man's-land. The nearest town is small and far away. Becky accepts the challenge. The climb has its scary moments, but goes largely without a hitch. The two women reach the platform below the summit. They can only enjoy their triumph briefly. As Becky begins her descent while Hunter secures the rope on the platform, the ladder detaches from the tower and plummets into the abyss. Hunter struggles to pull Becky - who is dangling freely from a rope over the desert void - back up. Now the two women are stranded.
