Two former French Foreign Legionnaires reluctantly work together to break into a corporation's vault, but discover that they are being set up to take the fall for a robbery-and-murder plot. After serving together in the French Foreign Legion, a mercenary and a doctor leave the service and go their separate ways. Later, they are reunited by a coincidence. The doctor has made a promise to a friend which involves his breaking into a safe to return some improperly removed bearer bonds. When he hides in an office building to accomplish his task, he is followed by the mercenary, who is out to steal the contents of the safe. Locked inside the building together, they reluctantly agree to cooperate in cracking the safe. However, surprises await them both and in the end, they both must rely on 'the honor among thieves' to straighten everything out. —Tad Dibbern <DIBBERN_D@a1.mscf.upenn.edu> Determined to get on with his life after the end of the Algerian War, instead, former medical lieutenant Dino Barran is approached by a mysterious woman and Franz Propp, a street-wise legionnaire looking for a fast buck. As the two men find themselves reluctantly reunited in Paris, lured into the basement of a prestigious and heavily guarded firm, the two frenemies must work in unison over a long Christmas weekend to crack the safe and find a way out. One of them has set his mind on getting his hands on the employees' year-end bonuses; the other wants to open the impenetrable vault to keep up his end of the bargain. However, the question remains.
