She takes up the job of a maid in a Hindu priest's house. She does all the household chores and is also in charge of preparation for daily Pooja in the house. Everything was going well and suddenly Fotema's father died and the orphan reserves a permanent shelter at the priest's house as his sister. The problem begins when the locality opposes the concept of a Muslim girl staying at Hindu Priest's house. Everyone starts to boycott the priest for daily worshiping and stars to corner them. Eventually priest's income reduces and poverty strikes them hard. One day the villagers of both religions gather in a rage, as an outcome the priest dies and Fotema committee suicide giving everyone a lesson for life. —CFS
