Früher waren die Autos heißer
A farm boy from Forbes NSW, Nedd Brockmann moved to Sydney for work. What he found was a stark reality of our cities - the homeless. This had a profound effect on him. Full of belief that he can start a movement for change, Nedd embarks on an enormous endeavour - to run across Australia and raise 1 million dollars for the homeless. It was a torturous journey across Australia's harshest and most beautiful landscapes. Pushing the body beyond its limits, a 4000 km run that would test the physical and mental strength of any elite athlete or endurance runner. The catch. Nedd Brockmann's not an athlete. He is an electrician, an everyday Aussie bloke with a flowing mullet who is 'having a crack'. The experts say he is crazy, no chance, not enough experience - setting a goal of running more than two marathons a day for 40+ days, in some of the toughest conditions in the world. But Nedd believes. From a handful to hundreds of thousands of social media followers, organically the whole country came to the cause - following Nedd's journey and donating 2.6 million dollars along the way. As the nation watched and ten thousand people lined the shore of Bondi, Nedd crossed the finish line and proved to himself and the world that we can in our own way make a difference. The feature documentary RUNN follows Nedd on his remarkable quest. Embedded with Nedd and his team on the journey, the filmmakers had unique access to this intense experience through the highs and the lows. This inspirational crossing with its unique blend of humour, struggle and beauty is for anyone who loves a good story. In Nedd's words LET'S GOOOOO!
