Trapped in a forbidden affair with his stepmother, a man under the growing influence of an AI companion enters a deadly game in a desperate attempt to earn his father's recognition. Tom, a disillusioned forty-something and son of the powerful Franco-Greek billionaire Michel Kormanos, struggles with a stagnant life and a cold and complicated relationship with his father. His only escape: a secret and dangerous affair with Vera Legrand, his father's young wife. Torn between her passion for Tom and her love for Michel, Vera, nevertheless, manages to find her own harmony in this incongruous love triangle. In fact, the man who matters most to Vera is her brother Johnny (Tom's former classmate), whom she took under her wing when their parents died and whose extraordinary intelligence amazes everyone. But, the fragile balance of this family microcosm is shattered when Johnny is accused by mobster Aristide Stamoulis of embezzling money from his illegal online casino. Stamoulis, a former accomplice of Kormanos in some shady business, blackmails him, threatening to kill Johnny if he doesn't pay up. Tom sees an opportunity to turn the tables and redistribute the cards to his advantage... but at what price? Caught in a web of betrayal, jealousy, blackmail, and corruption, Tom, Vera, Johnny, and Kormanos must face their own demons at the risk of losing everything in this labyrinth where passions are as dangerous as enemies. On the day of his 40th birthday, Tom Kormanos, the only son of Franco-Greek businessman Michel Kormanos, is going through a profound existential crisis. All his life, he has sought the love and recognition of a father who has never believed in him. In search of guidance, he turns to an artificial intelligence whose rational advice gradually takes on an increasingly important role in his decisions. Tom is having a secret affair with Vera Legrand, his father's wife. But Vera is still in love with Michel and refuses to leave him. Unable to accept that she remains attached to her husband, Tom becomes increasingly possessive, demanding that she devote herself exclusively to him. Vera's brother, Johnny, is a brilliant computer expert and hacker, as well as a former schoolmate of Tom's. He designed the illegal online casino run by Aristide Stamoulis, a former associate of Michel's with whom Michel shares a dark past he desperately wants to forget. Stamoulis accuses Johnny of stealing large sums of money from his casino and uses the situation to blackmail Michel. Meanwhile, Michel's trust in Johnny fuels Tom's jealousy: Tom sees him as the man his father seems to value more than his own son. In a fit of rage, Tom reveals his affair with Vera to Michel. Furious, Michel rejects everyone, throws his son out onto the street and freezes his accounts. Tom then turns to his American mother, Margareth, who responds with equally brutal indifference. With neither family nor financial support, he returns to Vera. Forced out of the life she shared with Michel, she returns to the theatre, her profession as an actress and the one place where she can truly express what she feels. But their passion is not enough to soothe Tom's jealousy: Vera's deep attachment to her brother Johnny only intensifies it. Stamoulis then draws closer to Tom, exploiting his desperate need for recognition. Telling him that he would have loved to have a son like him, he offers Tom the attention Michel has always denied him, on the condition that he choose sides. Convinced he can regain control of the situation, Tom betrays Vera by revealing Johnny's hiding place to Stamoulis. Johnny is abducted, and Stamoulis demands that Tom kill his friend with his own hands. As the men remain caught between rivalry and the need for mutual recognition, Vera refuses to be reduced to the prize in their conflict. She reminds them that she loves them both—the father and the son—and that she will give up neither her feelings nor her freedom.
