Girlfriend

Tanya (Isha Koppikar) and Sapna (Amrita Arora) are childhood friends living and working together. Tanya never liked men from the very beginning. Tanya and Sapna share a relationship which is more than just being friends. Tanya has strong feelings for Sapna and is quite possessive about her. She protects Sapna from lecherous rent collectors as well as drunk bar patrons. Tanya secretly watches Sapna in her private moments like when she is taking a bath. Tanya and Sapna also sleep in the same bed. Tanya is a logistics manager at a jewelry store and has to travel for work for 15 days. The jewelry store imports diamonds from South Africa and Tanya is also involved in the sales portion of the business. She also moonlights as a pro kick boxer at illegal tournaments to earn more money to support their lifestyle. Sapna has no clue about Tanya's life as a kick boxer. Tanya is the "man" around the house and takes care of all odd jobs including maintenance of the house. Tanya is extremely physically fit. Tanya refuses to date any men at work, even though she has many offers. Tanya and Sapna frequent clubs to have a good time. Sapna is an aspiring model and does small stints in advertising videos. Before leaving Tanya had asked a gay friend Jo-Jo to give Sapna company while she was away. The gay friend forces Sapna to attend a party. Rahul (Aashish Chaudhary) comes in Sapna's life. Rahul meets Sapna at a party and at first pretends to be gay to get close to her (and to make her feel "safe"). Rahul agrees to drop Sapna home, when Jo-Jo decides to suddenly leave the party after being told by Rahul. Rahul then takes Sapna's number and starts a regular connect with Sapna. Rahul was pretending to be Jo-Jo's boyfriend and then pretends that Jo-Jo has broken up with her. They go for a walk along the beach. But then he tries to kiss Sapna at the beach, and she is disgusted at being manipulated. Rahul stays outside Sapna's house all night and she is impressed with her innocence and both of them fall in love with each other. Tanya returns and finds Sapna in love with Rahul. She is heartbroken and starts feeling insecure due to growing closeness of Sapna and Rahul. Ahe starts getting more jealous and her hatred towards Rahul and other men increases. Tanya to counsel Sapna that Rahul is like other men and is bound to disappoint her sooner or later. Tanya bets Sapna that Rahul is like all other men and will cheat on Sapna, if he gets the opportunity as she believes that all men are unfaithful by nature. Tanya runs into Rahul on the streets and takes him to a secluded apartment (by saying that she has a crucial client meeting, and she is not able to find any taxi driver who would take her there). Once they get to the apartment, Tanya finds that the client is not there and even the guard says that he is leaving and asks Tanya to wait. Rahul agrees to stay with Tanya as he does not want the client to take advantage of Tanya while she is alone. Tanya tries hard to seduce him after getting him drunk, but he rebuffs her. Rahul is livid that Tanya used an elaborate ruse to get him into bed with her, but Tanya says she was only testing Rahul. Rahul plans a long weekend with Sapna, but Tanya invites herself along. Rahul is angry and ditches Tanya at the resort to spend some alone time with Sapna. Tanya also observes this and is livid at Rahul for cutting her out from Sapna's life. One night Rahul observes Tanya in bed with Sapna. He knows and is sure that Tanya is in love with Sapna. Rahul confronts Sapna who says that she is a deep sleeper and has no clue about what Rahul is saying as she sleeps alone with Tanya in her room. Rahul says that he is convinced that Sapna and Tanya are lesbian lovers. Upon being pressed, Sapna admits to having a lesbian night with Tanya many years before when they were in 3rd year of college. Sapna says that she and Tanya had attended a party and got drunk, and Tanya took to a friend's empty house instead of going back to their hostel. There they had sex, but she insists it was a one-time thing only. At the resort Rahul runs into his old friend Randeep. He invites Randeep to double date with Tanya. Tanya is insulted but agrees to a date to avoid admitting that she is a lesbian. Randeep is beaten up by Tanya (when he tries to come on to her) and leaves the very next day. Rahul takes Sapna to meet his mother. He proposes marriage and his mother asks her to start staying with them till the wedding day (in her room). Tanya is shocked and gets sick and thus Sapna decides to stay with her to care for her. A few nights later, Rahul is injured when a mysterious kick boxer attacks him. Tanya also tells Sapna her sob story about how she was sexually molested as a child. Tanya then convinces Sapna to break up a movie plan with Rahul, by pretending that she is inviting him to a party that both of them are going to. Rahul feels stood up and next day confronts Sapna to break up the engagement, accusing Sapna that Tanya is already her husband. That night Sapna realizes Tanya is in love with her and what Rahul was saying was correct. Tanya locks up Sapna and heads to Rahul's. Tanya sneaks into Rahul's house and starts beating him badly. Sapna arrives only to find Tanya covered in Rahul's blood and Rahul lying on the ground however Rahul regains consciousness and electrocutes Tanya. Tanya regains her consciousness and runs towards Rahul to try and throw him out of the window, Rahul steps aside and Tanya falls from the window and dies. In the end Rahul and Sapna visit Tanya's grave.
