The filming crew follows three emerging fashion designers on their breakthrough to a runway in New York and Paris. The documentary "Runway Bound" takes intimate look into behind-the-scenes process on "what it takes" for three emerging designers to get accepted by the major runway platform. The program begins when the designers apply and follows the successful candidates' entire journey leading up to the day of the show. It captures all the challenges of being an emerging designer, the setbacks and progresses, concepting designs, casting and managing fashion models, creating visual content, along with how their career choices influence family obligation, finance and other aspects of their personal life. The program also follows the rare look into the fate of designer whom applicant was reject and how it impacted their lives and their future plans. The program also profiles on three established Canadian designers and how they overcome different challenges faced by the new designers. The filmmaker also look into the lives of four aspiring models who dream of walking for a major runway. It showcases the reality of modeling by following these new talents' journey right from the beginning and their struggles to find suitable agencies, going to endless casting calls, maintaining their weight and diet and handling rejection. All the ups and downs while pursuing their dream are documented.
