Jacques Tati, tombé de la lune
The little green caterpillar that Sophie made friends with in her sandbox will grow up to be big and beautiful. Sophie feeds her until she gets fatter and fatter. One day, a beautiful butterfly rises and flies away. "A quiet, very poetic story. Not wild and loud actions, but rapidly changing emotions are the charm of this play. It is true that little Sophie shows the caterpillar her treasures, builds her a dizzying bridge out of a folding rule, or practices circus acts with her on one leg, but that is not so much the focus of this play in the children's room. Together with Sophie, the young audience experiences why Sophie is happy, gets angry, jumps in the air with joy or is sad because she has to say goodbye to her little friend." (Hildesheimer Allgemeine, 02/27/97) "The performance can relieve all cultural popes, who are skeptical whether children's theater is art, of their doubts. But what is much more important: it is fun for the children." (Abendzeitung, 07.09.93)
