Jan Sandwich - The Entertainer
Dubbed in : English ( Original )
Fueled by chocolate almonds and a husband who knows how to hang on, Jan Sandwich races through three Mrs. Claus gigs as their adventurous showbiz story unfolds. Fueled by chocolate almonds, a towering silver wig and a husband who knows how to hang on, Jan Sandwich sets out across the Valley for three Mrs. Claus gigs on one very busy, unusually warm December day. With Brian behind the wheel, Jan carries a carload of songs, stories, magic tricks, candy and Christmas cheer from one audience to the next. She worries when a room is empty, comes alive when the children arrive and makes every letter to Santa feel like urgent North Pole business. Brian works just outside the spotlight, loading props, watching the clock and quietly packing everything while Jan poses for one last photograph. Between performances, their adventurous showbiz story unfolds. They married young, toured school assemblies in a motor home, played in bands together and spent a few years chasing Hollywood. Along the way, Jan became a singer, actress, comedian and magician while creating a colorful cast of holiday characters. Whenever an opportunity appeared, she said yes and trusted that they would figure out the rest. By the final gig, Jan Sandwich: The Entertainer has become more than a portrait of a tireless performer. It is a love story about two people who have spent a lifetime keeping the show on the road and each other centered. At home, Jan carefully puts Mrs. Claus back in her box for the night. Tomorrow, they get to do it all over again.
