After her elderly mother's strange death, a woman returns to Naples for the funeral and stays to investigate her mother's final days, confronting family memories in the process. When an elderly woman dies--apparently happy but in curious circumstances--her daughter travels home to Naples for the funeral. Staying on, she tries to piece together her mother's recent life.
