The story revolves around Megha, an ambitious, software professional who develops a software product and dreams of selling it and settling down in career quickly. The story begins with an introduction of her professionally ambitious personality and the fact that she is so career oriented because she needs the money to take care of her ailing parents. The film then introduces that audience to Ravi, Megha's friend, who seems to take an unusual interest in all the things she does. She responds to his constant interest in her with disdain and explains to him that romance will only distract her from her ambitions and that that's what is important for her at this point in her life. After graduating from college, she takes up a job offer with a software company. She soon realises that they are not meeting her expectations but she still continues with that company. Eventually, she finds herself trapped by company regulations that make it legal for them not to pay her. She finds herself out of money, unable to take care of her ailing parents, out of job, and out of hope. Ravi enters her life again at her lowest point, gives her a place to stay, finds her a job, gives her hope. Just as things seem to be falling back into place, she realises that her former company holds the rights to her software
