Love Will Take Over
Susu is a local guy from a middle-class household in Gujarat who wishes to open a Garba academy while Michelle is a bright NRI student from a wealthy family. They meet when she comes to Vadodara. Susu lives with his father Hari (Kenneth Desai) and Mother Seema (Alpana Buch), who lament that Susu has no ambition in life. Hari tries to counsel Susu that Garba only happens for 9 days in a year and says that a Garba academy cannot provide him year-round employment. Susu argues that Garba is the root dance form for Salsa, Breakdance and even Ballet. Susu's uncle Rasik runs a Saree shop in Vadodara. Rasik is also the top Garba singer in the city and gets free passes for Susu and his friends to the Garba event. Michelle is an ambitious girl and is the top student of her graduate class in London. Sam is Michelle's father who lives in London and runs a laundry business. Natthu Kaka (Manoj Joshi) is Sam's elder brother in Vadodara. Natthu had summoned Sam and Michelle to India by pretending to have a heart attack. Sam is livid, but Natthu convinces him to stay till the Navratri festival is over. Sushrut "Susu" Pandya (Aayush Sharma) meets Manisha "Michelle" Patel (Warina Hussain) during a Garba festival. Susu falls in love at first sight and wishes to meet Michelle again. Susu's friend Negative tries to explain that Michelle is a topper from London, while Susu is a BA pass from the local college. She is an NRI, and has a choice of suitors in India, while Susu has no money and no prospects. During one of the Garba nights, Susu stays around Michelle, and she accidentally hits Dandiya on his eye. He fakes an injury with his friends Nagendra 'Negative' Pathak (Pratik Gandhi) and Rakesh 'Rocket' Joshi (Sajeel Parakh) and his uncle Rasik Desai (Ram Kapoor) playing along. She calls him to apologize. Susu acts as if he was deeply injured. Rasik guides Susu and asks him to skip Garba for one night, making Michelle get more worried for him. The next day, Michelle calls again and invites Susu for Garba. As time passes Susu and Michelle spend time together and they become friends. Susu takes Michelle on a flavor tour of Vadodara which includes all of the city's famous eating joints. Kushboo (Alisha Prajapati) (Rocket's love interest) tells Susu that he shouldn't play around with Michelle's feelings and that she will reveal the truth about his fake injury. Susu, fearing he will lose Michelle once she finds out about his lie, accidentally reveals the truth himself to her when he goes to find out why she hasn't returned his calls or messages. Michelle says she already understood that the injury was fake as he goofed up and bandaged the incorrect side of his forehead. Also, he kept the bandage just for a day then forgot to put it back the next day. They laugh and start developing feelings for each other. One night they open up to each other revealing Michelle's dream to make her late mother's (Tainara) wishes come true. Michelle's mother used to support an NGO in Vadodara and had big plans for the same. Sam was very supportive and took a job in London to pay for the NGO. But then Michelle's mother passed away after an illness, when she was 10. That same evening Michelle's father, Sameer "Sam" Patel (Ronit Roy), looks for her and Kushboo reveals the truth about Michelle's whereabouts and Susu. Sam decides to take matters into his own hands and sets up a meeting with Susu only to brainwash him against Michelle and reveals she has a boyfriend named Chris (Kyle Smith) back in London. Sam says that Michelle has been selected to London's top business school and will have a starting package of 85,000 pounds, which will double in 2-3 years. Sam taunts that the gap between Michelle and Sam is too big. Meanwhile, Michelle finds out about her graduation and treats Susu, Rocket and Negative to pizza at an expensive restaurant. While there, Susu vents his anger at her and insults her for leading him on. Michelle, not understanding and clearly upset, leaves the restaurant. She goes back to London with Sam. Susu, however, is unable to bear the separation and after his uncle convinces him (that he made a mistake and that Michelle is a nice and honest girl), he rushes to meet Michelle with Negative and Rocket, but they have an accident and miss their chance as the flight takes off. Susu decides to pursue Michelle in London and Rasik decides to support her. Susu realizes that it is not easy to get a visa. After 10 months, Rasik's orchestra group is invited to London for a show, and Susu is able to tag along. Susu arrives in London with his uncle and searches for Michelle. He meets her at the soup kitchen she had told him about before. Susu and Michelle hang out and she introduces him to her friends, Chris being one of them. As he spends time with them, he is annoyed by Chris and Michelle's closeness and doesn't enjoy the London lifestyle Michelle leads. Susu tells Michelle that her father was right, and that he was only a vacation romance for her. At the same time Sam discovers that Susu is in London and is always around Michelle. He tries to keep them apart by confronting Susu again. Susu retorts that Sam doesn't know his own daughter who only wants to run her mother's NGO, while he wants to turn her into a money minting machine just like himself. This time Sam takes a cricket bat and damages his own car and forces Susu's hand around his neck in order to frame him. The police arrive, Susu is arrested and taken away. At the police station, he meets two Gujrati police officers Jignesh Ajmera (Arbaaz Khan) & Bhavnesh Ajmera (Sohail Khan) and tells them his story. They agree to help Susu unite with Michelle. Michelle tries to reach Susu to no avail and goes to see his uncle. His uncle reveals that Susu has been missing and reveals what Sam had done back in India. She confronts him and lashes out at home for his actions. Eventually Susu enters the park in a jeep and both Susu and Michelle play Garba together. Michelle reveals to Susu that her "boyfriend" Chris is actually gay. Sam realizes his mistake and joins the couple, blessing them for a happy life ahead. Michelle eventually goes back to India and successfully fulfills her mother's dream whilst Susu has finally opened up his Garba Academy. In the end they both live happily after.
