Miracle in Antarctica
Dubbed in : English ( Original )
In 1983-84, a team of Indian scientists in Antarctica must brave blizzards, frostbite and a helicopter crash to achieve a nearly impossible feat before the sea freezes over. In December 1983, Dr Harsh Gupta, a geophysicist, seismologist and now a Padma Shri recipient, is sent to Antarctica to lead a mission thought impossible: build Dakshin Gangotri – India's first permanent scientific research station there – before the end of the Antarctic summer, a fleeting time frame of barely 60 days. Although success would enable India to be taken seriously in Antarctic affairs, to achieve it would be to do what no country had ever done before. But time is not the team's only nemesis. Battered by a blizzard and a helicopter crash, will one man's leadership and the team's grit prevail over their frostbitten fingers, before the pack ice moves in to leave them doomed?
