Having believed for a long time that she had a happy marriage, Mi-hie is shocked when she is contacted by her husband's former gilfriend, Mi-kyeong who claims that she and Mi-hie's husband are still involved. She also informs Mi-hie that her marriage is simply a matter of convenience. Mi-hie, distraught, gets into a car accident and becomes paralyzed from the waist down.
