The movie is about a political goon, Mani, who mends his ways and becomes a popular MLA. Mani is a trusted thug can do anything for the political party he belongs to, with the belief that he is doing it for the public's interests. It was his teacher at school who started calling him an MLA, due to his childhood ambition of becoming one. He finds himself enmeshed in a dirty plan by his mentors and is sent to jail for eight years for killing a journalist named Nandakishore. He spends his time in jail only to come back with a vengeance, taking on state ministers. In the meantime, Mani also finds suitable allies in an IPS officer (Siddhique) and a lady MLA(Lena) who has also got things to settle with the political superpowers of the state.
