Roommates Prasath and Balaji both love Selvi. After Balaji's death, Selvi must marry Prasath's father. The movie revolves around three people, a college going girl (Sridevi) and two men who fall in love with her (Hassan and Rajinikanth). The film was based on 1974 Telugu film O Seeta Katha directed by K. Viswanath starring Roja Ramani and Chandramohan. —John Hu
