A kind-hearted zamindar (Rajnikanth), living with his sister in law and brother assigns all his wealth to their son. This is when a son is born to the zamindar, but his wife soon dies. Fearing that the property will be taken away from his son, the zamindar`s brother cheats him. Following this, the zamindar proceeds to the Himalayas commanding his son, Muthu (Rajnikanth) to be born as a servant and not as a zamindar. And so does it work! However, the two boys develop a strong bond, with Ejama taking Muthu everywhere with him. Years later, when the zamindar returns from the mountains, the truth about Muthu is uncovered.
