The main characters are ordinary 30-year-old men who live in an ordinary Russian village, where work is always bad, where there is always no money, where they drive moonshine, for which they pay with food or firewood. They have not studied at institutes, do not speak foreign languages, do not understand politics and consider the words "Internet" and "glamour" to be swear words. They can even punch you in the face for such words. They see life mainly on the TV screen. And even then - in black and white. Another friend of theirs first staged a mass spree in the village on the occasion of his own wedding (he married the first village beauty), and then drove off with his young wife on a honeymoon to St. Petersburg in his father's old car. And here in St. Petersburg, he accidentally "crumpled" a new jeep to some fancy kid. The owner of the jeep and his friends demanded a tidy sum from him for moral and other damage. All he had to do was call his friends, since there is one phone in the village. Well, friends are always a mountain for a friend.
