Arandel, Alvaro Dule, Pockemon Crew, Salomé Gasselin, Barbara Carlotti, et Quatuor à cordes A la Grande Galerie de l'Évolution Capturing the links that unite music with architecture, the visual arts and dance - that's what Sur Mesure is all about. In the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution at the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, this session revisits the work of Bach by composer electro Arandel, supported here by string instruments, choreographers from the Opéra de Lyon and the Pockemon Crew troupe. Although they come from diverse backgrounds, all these artists have seen their work crossed by that of Bach: Arandel and the instrumentalists who accompany him have in fact collaborated on two iterations ofInBach, albums of wild ambition where Bach's heritage and electronic impertinence collide. Bach was also the driving force behind Contrappunto, a virtuoso encounter between hip-hop dance collective Pockemon Crew and the Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon, which choreographers Alvaro Dule and Riyad Fghani have adapted for four dancers. Get ready for a journey between eras, illustrated by dance sequences borrowing from both classical dance and hip-hop.
