As the sun rises and their son sleeps, a couple in the brink of splitting up get everything together for their last holiday as a family. As the sun rises and their son Gaspar sleeps, Jazmín and Marcelo, a forty year old couple in the brink of splitting up, get everything together for what looks like their last holiday as a family. During that morning, most conversations revolve around Gaspar, who seems to be within the autistic spectrum. This has been a divisive issue for Marcelo, a former school teacher who quit his job to look after his son and Jazmín, who had to become the sole bread winner of the family. As darkness gives and the sun bathes the apartment, unspoken conflicts, guilt and reproach arise. This last few years as a couple and parents have been rough on them. She has difficulties connecting to her son and feel like Marcelo has taken up all the available space, leaving her out of her own family. As for him, staying at home so much has made him obsessive and inhibited, however, there is maturity in their interactions and their decision to break up is shared and kind. Before they leave, Marcelo and Jazmín engage in a last moment of fantasy and playfulness, maybe there's a way for them to meet each other all over again. —Juan Schnitman
