People with criminal records have traditionally been overlooked as a talent pool, but thanks to national efforts more people with criminal records are given the opportunity to work than ever before. Companies and groups like J.P. Morgan Chase, the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Business Roundtable, and the Second Chance Business Coalition, are just a few of the groups leading this effort. Good hiring leads to better retention, lowering turnover costs and increasing productivity. However, many employers need help when it comes to hiring, retention and promotion of people with criminal records, or integrating them within the workplace. Retaining Talent was designed to tell this story.
