After the death of their parents in a horrific car crash infamously known as the flyover disaster, two brothers get sucked into the drug underworld. SUBWAYS is a story of the Moloi brothers, Bonno 'Pablo' Moloi and Bonolo 'Skills' Moloi as they navigate the difficult terrain of making it into the drug trade. When they are expelled from school for selling drugs, the two brothers set shop in their local township but their presence is met with revolt by the notorious drug dealer, Tiger who runs the territory they are invading. Pablo and Skills face a struggle for survival, they are looking for a way out to a better lifestyle and see the tax free drug trade as an opportunity. Pablo must contend with the ruthless Tiger whose sole intention is to get rid of the competition and the ever doubtful Skills who wants out, the two brothers must solve their differences to achieve their goal. To solve the survival problems, Pablo must reel in his younger brother, he must use logic, and make him see the bigger picture. Pablo's life changes when she meets Kandy Hlomane, a street smart girl and self-made talented thief struggling to come to terms with her upbringing. He is wowed by her unique skills and Kandy wins a spot in Pablo's team. She proves herself to be an asset. Consequently, Pablo and Kandy falls in love. As they continue to learn each other Pablo must contend with Kandy's past. However, the trio of Pablo, Skills and Kandy are able to establish a strong bond, sharing their creative ideas to find solutions for the business and evades the notorious Tiger who is constantly on their back. When Kandy gets pregnant, Pablo's priorities change, the idea of having a family motivates him to go legit, something that Skills has always wanted. To do this, he must do the unthinkable and approach his rival, Tiger, to broker a deal, a merger that will guarantee a larger market and profit returns with the intention of letting go in a year or two.
