Javad and his young wife Atefeh [Mahshid Afsharzadeh] are in conflict over the treatment of their paralytic daughter Sahar [Sara Mahin Torabi]. Javad is in financial difficulties and has no hope for his daughter's improvement, but Atefeh is heartened by encouragement from their child's physician. Her father, Javad, who works as a passenger ferryman in the afternoons to make ends meet, refuses to accept help from those around him at the insistence of his wife Atefeh to provide money for their child's surgery and sells his car, with the money, Sahar undergoes surgery. In this conflict over this issue, Reza, one of Javad's old friends, invites her to play the lead role in a play he is directing for children.
