Scareycrows
A docudrama which will show how the ancient civilizations of Amazon developed and were mysteriously engulfed. It will also show the story of the pioneers. An American and other two experts will investigate the evidences. New discoveries will be shown. Countless expeditions. New theories. Many mysteries. As opposed to the image that the Amazon peoples were primitive and that the region was sparsely occupied, the largest rain forest in the world was actually being widely occupied since 8000 BC. It lived its apogee in 1000 AD, when it was full of indigenous complex societies. Above all, such societies were composed of people who spoke different languages more diverse in structure and syntax than, for example, Portuguese and Russian as they are spoken today. In some aspects, the year 1000 in Amazon was not that different from the same year in Medieval Europe. As deforestation in the Amazon region have been giving way to recent findings, evidence of human occupation, great constructions marked on the ground as defensive moats and earth moving work. Real cities were interconnected through the forest by wide and long causeways and lined artificial lakes, a labyrinth of dykes, water reservoirs and channels, plantations areas and preserved woods between the cities could now be imagined. The narrative will alternate between the Native history (main story) and the look of the Europeans, having reconstitution of scenes of characters like Aleixo Garcia, Pizarro, Pedro Úrsula, Hiram Bingham, Percy Fawcett, Marechal Rondon, Theodore Roosevelt and Orlando Villas-Boas. Pay End: we pretend to shows to the world new findings and a map of how these nations were distributed.
