In 2021, three artists set out on a quest to call in the intentions of love, healing and freedom to the land of Éire. For 32 days they planted 32 flags on 32 mountains in the 32 counties of this sacred land. Over the month of Samhain, 2021, three artists set out on a pilgrimage to every county in Ireland at a time when a great darkness weighed heavy upon the land - watch 32 Counties - A Quest for Hope in a Time of Darkness above. Under the powerful protection of prayer, they climbed 32 mountains in 32 counties in 32 days to perform acupuncture upon the sacred body of Éire, an island considered in many spiritual circles to represent the energetic heart of the world. Following their own intentions of love, healing, and truth, this documentary tells their story; interweaving interviews, poetry, stories and songs from an extraordinary undertaking at an unprecedented time. Filmed and edited by Lúgh Ó'hErodáin, and featuring Aidan Killian, Stephen Murphy, Tiernan O'Rourke and Samuel Brett, it's a story full of hope in a world increasingly ruled by fear, of togetherness amidst an epidemic of loneliness, and reconnecting with the power of the natural world in an age where we risk falling ever-further into the web of the machine.
