An NY1 broadcast replays altered footage of Quentin Beck / Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) accusing Spider-Man of ordering a drone attack in London. J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons) presents the footage through The Daily Bugle, names Spider-Man as Beck's murderer, and then broadcasts Beck's final reveal that Spider-Man is Peter Parker. Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) sits on a streetlamp near Madison Square Garden with Michelle "MJ" Jones (Zendaya) below him as Peter's school photograph fills the public screen. Bystanders close in on MJ, ask if she is Spider-Man's girlfriend, and accuse them of helping kill Mysterio. Peter drops down, stops people from touching MJ, grabs her, and swings away. Peter carries MJ through New York while news reports and public screens identify him as "Public Enemy #1." Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) calls Peter in alarm, and Peter lands with MJ on the Queensboro Bridge. People on the Roosevelt Island tram, nearby buildings, and news helicopters recognize them. Smoove), Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr), and Coach Wilson (Hannibal Buress) present Peter with a shrine assembled at school, while Coach Wilson openly sides with Mysterio. Peter withdraws to the rooftop with MJ and Ned, and the three discuss backup schools while trying to plan a future together. College responses arrive at Happy's condo, and Peter receives rejections from his backup schools. Peter then joins MJ and Ned at the donut shop where MJ works, and the three open their MIT letters together. Each letter says MIT cannot consider the application in light of recent controversy. Flash arrives wearing MIT gear, realizes they were rejected, and leaves for an admitted students event. MJ and Ned tear their letters. Peter sees wizard-themed Halloween decorations in the shop and goes to the New York Sanctum for help. Wong (Benedict Wong) admits Peter into the snow-filled Sanctum Sanctorum, where a gateway accident has filled the building with snow. Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) appears, and Wong explains that he is now Sorcerer Supreme because Strange was gone for five years. Peter asks Strange to use the Time Stone to prevent Mysterio from revealing his identity, but Strange says he no longer has the stone. Wong's comment about forgetting prompts Strange to propose the Runes of Kof-Kol, a spell that would make the world forget Peter is Spider-Man. Wong warns that the spell is dangerous, then leaves through a portal after telling Strange to leave him out of it. Strange takes Peter to the Sanctum's lower chamber and begins casting the spell. When Peter realizes that everyone, including MJ, Ned, May, and Happy, will forget his identity, he repeatedly asks Strange to change the spell's parameters. A roadway eruption reveals Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), who attacks Peter with four mechanical tentacles and calls him Peter. Octavius demands his missing fusion machine, throws cars, and fights Peter across the bridge while the Daily Bugle helicopter films. Peter saves a family in a car and tries to rescue the assistant vice chancellor after her SUV hangs from the bridge. Octavius rips nanotechnology from Peter's Iron Spider suit, and the nanotech bonds to his tentacles. The suit pairs with the tentacles' system, giving Peter control over them. Peter uses the arms to set the assistant vice chancellor's vehicle safely back on the bridge. She tells Peter that she will speak to MIT admissions about MJ, Ned, and Peter. Before Peter can question Octavius further, Norman Osborn / Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) arrives on a glider and drops a pumpkin bomb. Strange portals Peter and Octavius back to the Sanctum before the Goblin reaches them. Peter finds Octavius trapped in a cell beside Curt Connors / Lizard (Rhys Ifans), whom Strange captured in the sewers. Strange explains that Peter's disrupted spell began pulling in people from other universes who know Peter Parker is Spider-Man. He gives Peter a magically altered web-shooter that can transport targets into containment cells and tells him to capture the remaining arrivals. Peter brings MJ and Ned to the Sanctum to help. Strange tells them to search the internet for multiversal trespassers, and MJ challenges him to say "please" before the group begins working in the undercroft. Ned finds a report of a disturbance near a military research facility. Octavius identifies Norman Osborn when Peter mentions the flying green figure from the bridge. Peter turns his paint-stained suit inside out, producing a black-and-gold appearance, and goes to investigate with his phone taped to his chest so MJ and Ned can guide him remotely. In the woods near power lines, Peter finds Max Dillon / Electro (Jamie Foxx) drawing energy in a blue electrical form. Peter's first magic web captures a tree instead of Electro. Electro attacks and knocks Peter down. Flint Marko / Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) emerges from a wall of sand, recognizes Peter's name, and then realizes this Peter is not the one he knows. Peter asks Marko to help stop Electro, and the two work together. Marko contains Electro in a sandstorm while Peter tears down the power lines feeding him. Electro collapses into human form, saying he has his body back. Peter sends Electro to the Sanctum, but Marko distrusts Peter after seeing the magic web. Marko attacks, and Peter sends him to a cell as well. At the Sanctum, Electro recognizes Connors from Oscorp in his own universe. Connors speaks from his Lizard form, and the captured visitors argue about where they are. Peter repairs damaged power lines and receives a call from May, who tells him that one of the people he is looking for has walked into the F.E.A.S.T. shelter. In an alley, Norman hides the Goblin glider, hears the Goblin persona taunting him through the mask, smashes the mask with a brick, and flees. Peter arrives at F.E.A.S.T. and finds May having tea with Norman, who wears donated clothing and says he came to the shelter after seeing Spider-Man in a F.E.A.S.T. advertisement. Norman says Oscorp does not exist in this universe, someone else is living in his home, and he is sometimes not himself. May tells Peter that Norman needs help and asks whether the other visitors also need help. Peter says sending them home is best for them, but May challenges him and reminds him that they help people. Peter takes Norman to the Sanctum while a Daily Bugle follower tracks him for Jameson. Peter introduces Norman to MJ and Ned. Norman recognizes Octavius, and Octavius calls Norman a walking corpse. Marko says Norman died fighting Spider-Man and that Octavius later drowned with his machine. Octavius recalls fighting Spider-Man at the moment before he arrived. Electro recalls overloading and realizes he was about to die. Strange returns with the Macchina di Kadavus and prepares to reverse the spell, sending everyone back to their universes. Peter argues that sending them back unchanged may return them to their deaths. Strange refuses to delay, so Peter webs the box away, traps Strange in one of the cells for a moment, and runs. Strange pursues Peter through portals outside the Sanctum and knocks Peter's astral form out of his body, but Peter's physical body continues protecting the box through spider-sense. Strange pulls Peter into the Mirror Dimension and bends New York and the Grand Canyon around him. Strange says an infinite number of people who know Peter Parker is Spider-Man could come through if the spell escapes. Peter uses geometry to web the Mirror Dimension's shifting structures, traps Strange, takes his sling ring, and returns to the Sanctum with the box. Back in the undercroft, Peter tells the captured visitors that he can try to fix what happened to them before sending them home. Norman offers to help because he is a scientist. MJ takes the Macchina di Kadavus and promises to press its button if Peter does not return. Peter frees the prisoners and brings them to Happy's condo, keeping Octavius restrained with the nanotech-controlled arms. Marko remains outside in sand form. Connors stays in the F.E.A.S.T. truck. Electro studies the arc reactor inside a Stark fabricator case and reacts to its power. Peter and Norman start building cures with the Stark equipment. Peter creates a new inhibitor chip for Octavius and attaches it to the machinery fused to Octavius's spine. The chip restores Octavius's control over the arms, and he thanks Peter after hearing quiet for the first time in years. Norman and Peter continue work on treatments for the others. Peter places a device on Electro to draw out his electrical power. The lights flicker, and Peter's spider-sense activates. Peter looks across the apartment at Norman and realizes the Goblin persona has resurfaced. Goblin denies that the visitors need cures, calls their powers gifts, and turns Electro, Marko, and Connors against Peter. Electro removes the device from his chest and takes the arc reactor. Marko and Connors escape. Goblin attacks Peter inside the condo. The fight smashes through walls and floors while Happy leaves Peter a voicemail after seeing the visitors on his security camera. May arrives with the cure bag, and Peter tells her to run. Connors ambushes Peter on the side of the building, and Goblin drags Peter down through multiple floors into the lobby. May injects Goblin with the anti-serum, but it does not stop him. Goblin throws it away, escapes on his glider, and sends a pumpkin bomb into the lobby. The blast strikes the area near May. Peter reaches May in the ruined lobby. May tells him that she is all right, then sees blood and begins weakening. Peter tries to help her stand. May tells him, "With great power, there must also come great responsibility." She collapses as police and emergency responders arrive. Peter holds her while she dies, then flees when officers move in. Happy arrives outside, sees the destruction and May's body, and gets arrested while Peter escapes unseen. Jameson broadcasts from Times Square and blames Spider-Man for the destruction. Peter watches the report from a rooftop in the rain. At Ned's Lola's house, Ned's Lola (Mary Rivera) brings food to Ned and MJ while they wait with Strange's sling ring and the Macchina di Kadavus. He removes his mask, says he is Peter Parker and Spider-Man in his own world, and proves his identity after MJ throws bread at him and asks him to crawl on the ceiling. Ned's Lola asks him to clear a cobweb while he is on the ceiling. Ned tries again and opens another portal, bringing in a second alternate Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire). The two alternate Peters test each other with webbing after realizing neither is Ned and MJ's Peter. Ned's Lola asks them to clean up the webs. The second alternate Peter says their Peter may be looking for a place that matters to him. MJ and Ned identify Midtown High. MJ, Ned, and the two alternate Peters find Peter at the school rooftop, grieving May. MJ hugs him, and Ned joins them. Peter says May died for nothing and that he plans to send the villains home. The alternate Peters describe their own losses, including Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy, and warn him against acting from revenge. Peter recognizes that May's last words match the lesson the other Peters learned in their worlds. He says May wanted the villains helped, and the three Peters go to the school lab to finish the cures. In the lab, the three Peters work with MJ and Ned. Peter develops cures for Norman and Connors, the alternate Peters work on cures for Marko and Electro, and Ned reveals that he can use Strange's sling ring. The Peters discuss organic and mechanical webbing, their histories, and the opponents they have faced. Peter calls The Daily Bugle tip line and publicly says the multiversal visitors are present because of him. He names the Statue of Liberty as the place where the remaining villains can find him. At the Statue of Liberty, which carries a newly added Captain America shield, MJ and Ned wait with the Macchina di Kadavus while the three Peters prepare the cures. The alternate Peters agree to call Peter from this universe Peter One, the older Peter Peter Two, and the other Peter Peter Three. Electro, Sandman, and Lizard arrive. The three Peters initially fight without coordination. Sandman chases them across scaffolding, Lizard goes after MJ and Ned, and Electro uses the arc reactor to increase his power. Peter One stops the fight long enough to make the three Peters coordinate as a team. Peter Three helps Peter One deliver Connors's cure, turning the Lizard back into human form. Peter Two receives Marko's cure and triggers it while engulfed in sand, restoring Flint Marko to human form. The three Peters then confront Electro, but the arc reactor makes him too powerful for them to approach. Octavius arrives and appears to attack Peter, but he removes the arc reactor from Electro and returns it to Peter. Peter Three places the cure on Electro, draining his electrical power and restoring him to Max Dillon. Max speaks with Peter Three afterward and says he had expected Spider-Man to be Black. Ned opens a portal while trying to escape Lizard with MJ, and Strange returns from the Mirror Dimension. Lizard knocks Ned from the scaffolding, and Strange's Cloak of Levitation saves him. Strange sees the three Peters and the cured visitors, then learns Peter has been trying to help them. Before Strange can use the box, Goblin arrives and attacks. He destroys the Macchina di Kadavus with a pumpkin bomb. The damaged spell breaks open the sky, and figures from other universes begin appearing through multiversal rifts. He asks MJ if she is excited for MIT, and she repeats her line about expecting disappointment. Peter completes the phrase, and MJ pauses. Peter sees the injury above her eye from the Statue of Liberty fight and asks if she is all right. When MJ asks whether there is anything else, Peter pockets his note and leaves without revealing their history. Peter visits May's grave and leaves a flower. Happy arrives and does not recognize him. When Happy asks how Peter knew May, Peter says he knew her through Spider-Man, and Happy says the same. They speak about May's work helping people. Peter tells Happy that the people May helped will keep her work going, then leaves Happy at the grave. Peter moves into a small apartment. A landlord tells him rent is due on the first of the month. Peter brings in boxes, including a GED study manual and the LEGO Emperor figure from the set he built with Ned. That night, Peter listens to a police scanner app, sets out the coffee cup from MJ's shop, and uses a sewing machine to make a new red and blue Spider-Man suit. He puts on the suit, leaves through the window, and swings through snowy New York over Rockefeller Plaza. During the credits, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) sits in a tropical bar with Venom and asks the Bartender (Cristo Fernández) about this universe's heroes and major events, including the Avengers, Tony Stark, Thanos, and the Blip. Eddie decides to go to New York and find Spider-Man, but Strange's spell sends him and Venom back to their own universe before they leave the bar. A small piece of the symbiote remains on the counter and moves on its own. After the credits, a preview shows Doctor Strange dealing with multiversal consequences, seeking out Wanda Maximoff, encountering America Chavez, Mordo, Christine Palmer, and a distorted alternate version of himself.

That night, Peter speaks with MJ by video call about their college applications, MIT, and the possibility of moving to Boston with Ned. Happy interrupts them from the couch, where he has been trying to sleep with a breathing mask. Peter, MJ, and Ned begin senior year at Midtown High amid reporters, protesters, fans, and classmates filming them.
Betty Brant (Angourie Rice) covers Peter's arrival for the school news. Flash inserts himself between Ned and the crowd, calls himself Peter's best friend, and promotes his book about their supposed friendship. Inside, Mr.
Dell (J. B. Smoove), Mr.
Harrington (Martin Starr), and Coach Wilson (Hannibal Buress) present Peter with a shrine assembled at school, while Coach Wilson openly sides with Mysterio. Peter withdraws to the rooftop with MJ and Ned, and the three discuss backup schools while trying to plan a future together. College responses arrive at Happy's condo, and Peter receives rejections from his backup schools. Peter then joins MJ and Ned at the donut shop where MJ works, and the three open their MIT letters together.
Each letter says MIT cannot consider the application in light of recent controversy. Flash arrives wearing MIT gear, realizes they were rejected, and leaves for an admitted students event. MJ and Ned tear their letters.
Peter sees wizard-themed Halloween decorations in the shop and goes to the New York Sanctum for help. Wong (Benedict Wong) admits Peter into the snow-filled Sanctum Sanctorum, where a gateway accident has filled the building with snow. Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) appears, and Wong explains that he is now Sorcerer Supreme because Strange was gone for five years. Peter asks Strange to use the Time Stone to prevent Mysterio from revealing his identity, but Strange says he no longer has the stone.
Wong's comment about forgetting prompts Strange to propose the Runes of Kof-Kol, a spell that would make the world forget Peter is Spider-Man. Wong warns that the spell is dangerous, then leaves through a portal after telling Strange to leave him out of it. Strange takes Peter to the Sanctum's lower chamber and begins casting the spell. When Peter realizes that everyone, including MJ, Ned, May, and Happy, will forget his identity, he repeatedly asks Strange to change the spell's parameters.
The spell destabilizes as Peter continues adding exceptions. Strange contains the out-of-control magic inside the Macchina di Kadavus and rebukes Peter for interfering. When Strange asks whether Peter appealed to MIT before seeking magical help, Peter realizes he never contacted the admissions office. Outside the Sanctum, Peter calls Flash and asks where he can find someone from MIT.
Flash trades the information for Peter's public acknowledgment that Flash is his best friend. Peter learns that the MIT Assistant Vice Chancellor (Paula Newsome) has left the mixer for the airport, then puts on the Iron Spider suit and searches the traffic on the Alexander Hamilton Bridge. He finds her SUV and begins pleading for MIT to reconsider MJ and Ned, but his spider-sense alerts him to danger.
A roadway eruption reveals Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), who attacks Peter with four mechanical tentacles and calls him Peter. Octavius demands his missing fusion machine, throws cars, and fights Peter across the bridge while the Daily Bugle helicopter films. Peter saves a family in a car and tries to rescue the assistant vice chancellor after her SUV hangs from the bridge. Octavius rips nanotechnology from Peter's Iron Spider suit, and the nanotech bonds to his tentacles.
The suit pairs with the tentacles' system, giving Peter control over them. Peter uses the arms to set the assistant vice chancellor's vehicle safely back on the bridge. She tells Peter that she will speak to MIT admissions about MJ, Ned, and Peter.
Before Peter can question Octavius further, Norman Osborn / Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) arrives on a glider and drops a pumpkin bomb. Strange portals Peter and Octavius back to the Sanctum before the Goblin reaches them. Peter finds Octavius trapped in a cell beside Curt Connors / Lizard (Rhys Ifans), whom Strange captured in the sewers. Strange explains that Peter's disrupted spell began pulling in people from other universes who know Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
He gives Peter a magically altered web-shooter that can transport targets into containment cells and tells him to capture the remaining arrivals. Peter brings MJ and Ned to the Sanctum to help. Strange tells them to search the internet for multiversal trespassers, and MJ challenges him to say "please" before the group begins working in the undercroft. Ned finds a report of a disturbance near a military research facility.
Octavius identifies Norman Osborn when Peter mentions the flying green figure from the bridge. Peter turns his paint-stained suit inside out, producing a black-and-gold appearance, and goes to investigate with his phone taped to his chest so MJ and Ned can guide him remotely. In the woods near power lines, Peter finds Max Dillon / Electro (Jamie Foxx) drawing energy in a blue electrical form. Peter's first magic web captures a tree instead of Electro.
Electro attacks and knocks Peter down. Flint Marko / Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) emerges from a wall of sand, recognizes Peter's name, and then realizes this Peter is not the one he knows. Peter asks Marko to help stop Electro, and the two work together.
Marko contains Electro in a sandstorm while Peter tears down the power lines feeding him. Electro collapses into human form, saying he has his body back. Peter sends Electro to the Sanctum, but Marko distrusts Peter after seeing the magic web.
Marko attacks, and Peter sends him to a cell as well. At the Sanctum, Electro recognizes Connors from Oscorp in his own universe. Connors speaks from his Lizard form, and the captured visitors argue about where they are. Peter repairs damaged power lines and receives a call from May, who tells him that one of the people he is looking for has walked into the F.E.A.S.T.
shelter. In an alley, Norman hides the Goblin glider, hears the Goblin persona taunting him through the mask, smashes the mask with a brick, and flees. Peter arrives at F.E.A.S.T. and finds May having tea with Norman, who wears donated clothing and says he came to the shelter after seeing Spider-Man in a F.E.A.S.T.
advertisement. Norman says Oscorp does not exist in this universe, someone else is living in his home, and he is sometimes not himself. May tells Peter that Norman needs help and asks whether the other visitors also need help.
Peter says sending them home is best for them, but May challenges him and reminds him that they help people. Peter takes Norman to the Sanctum while a Daily Bugle follower tracks him for Jameson. Peter introduces Norman to MJ and Ned. Norman recognizes Octavius, and Octavius calls Norman a walking corpse.
Marko says Norman died fighting Spider-Man and that Octavius later drowned with his machine. Octavius recalls fighting Spider-Man at the moment before he arrived. Electro recalls overloading and realizes he was about to die.
Strange returns with the Macchina di Kadavus and prepares to reverse the spell, sending everyone back to their universes. Peter argues that sending them back unchanged may return them to their deaths. Strange refuses to delay, so Peter webs the box away, traps Strange in one of the cells for a moment, and runs. Strange pursues Peter through portals outside the Sanctum and knocks Peter's astral form out of his body, but Peter's physical body continues protecting the box through spider-sense.
Strange pulls Peter into the Mirror Dimension and bends New York and the Grand Canyon around him. Strange says an infinite number of people who know Peter Parker is Spider-Man could come through if the spell escapes. Peter uses geometry to web the Mirror Dimension's shifting structures, traps Strange, takes his sling ring, and returns to the Sanctum with the box. Back in the undercroft, Peter tells the captured visitors that he can try to fix what happened to them before sending them home.
Norman offers to help because he is a scientist. MJ takes the Macchina di Kadavus and promises to press its button if Peter does not return. Peter frees the prisoners and brings them to Happy's condo, keeping Octavius restrained with the nanotech-controlled arms.
Marko remains outside in sand form. Connors stays in the F.E.A.S.T. truck.
Electro studies the arc reactor inside a Stark fabricator case and reacts to its power. Peter and Norman start building cures with the Stark equipment. Peter creates a new inhibitor chip for Octavius and attaches it to the machinery fused to Octavius's spine. The chip restores Octavius's control over the arms, and he thanks Peter after hearing quiet for the first time in years.
Norman and Peter continue work on treatments for the others. Peter places a device on Electro to draw out his electrical power. The lights flicker, and Peter's spider-sense activates.
Peter looks across the apartment at Norman and realizes the Goblin persona has resurfaced. Goblin denies that the visitors need cures, calls their powers gifts, and turns Electro, Marko, and Connors against Peter. Electro removes the device from his chest and takes the arc reactor.
Marko and Connors escape. Goblin attacks Peter inside the condo. The fight smashes through walls and floors while Happy leaves Peter a voicemail after seeing the visitors on his security camera. May arrives with the cure bag, and Peter tells her to run.
Connors ambushes Peter on the side of the building, and Goblin drags Peter down through multiple floors into the lobby. May injects Goblin with the anti-serum, but it does not stop him. Goblin throws it away, escapes on his glider, and sends a pumpkin bomb into the lobby.
The blast strikes the area near May. Peter reaches May in the ruined lobby. May tells him that she is all right, then sees blood and begins weakening. Peter tries to help her stand.
May tells him, "With great power, there must also come great responsibility." She collapses as police and emergency responders arrive. Peter holds her while she dies, then flees when officers move in. Happy arrives outside, sees the destruction and May's body, and gets arrested while Peter escapes unseen. Jameson broadcasts from Times Square and blames Spider-Man for the destruction.
Peter watches the report from a rooftop in the rain. At Ned's Lola's house, Ned's Lola (Mary Rivera) brings food to Ned and MJ while they wait with Strange's sling ring and the Macchina di Kadavus. MJ says she is going to press the button, but Ned wishes they could see Peter and accidentally opens a portal.
Instead of Peter, an alternate Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) appears. He removes his mask, says he is Peter Parker and Spider-Man in his own world, and proves his identity after MJ throws bread at him and asks him to crawl on the ceiling. Ned's Lola asks him to clear a cobweb while he is on the ceiling. Ned tries again and opens another portal, bringing in a second alternate Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire).
The two alternate Peters test each other with webbing after realizing neither is Ned and MJ's Peter. Ned's Lola asks them to clean up the webs. The second alternate Peter says their Peter may be looking for a place that matters to him.
MJ and Ned identify Midtown High. MJ, Ned, and the two alternate Peters find Peter at the school rooftop, grieving May. MJ hugs him, and Ned joins them. Peter says May died for nothing and that he plans to send the villains home.
The alternate Peters describe their own losses, including Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy, and warn him against acting from revenge. Peter recognizes that May's last words match the lesson the other Peters learned in their worlds. He says May wanted the villains helped, and the three Peters go to the school lab to finish the cures. In the lab, the three Peters work with MJ and Ned.
Peter develops cures for Norman and Connors, the alternate Peters work on cures for Marko and Electro, and Ned reveals that he can use Strange's sling ring. The Peters discuss organic and mechanical webbing, their histories, and the opponents they have faced. Peter calls The Daily Bugle tip line and publicly says the multiversal visitors are present because of him.
He names the Statue of Liberty as the place where the remaining villains can find him. At the Statue of Liberty, which carries a newly added Captain America shield, MJ and Ned wait with the Macchina di Kadavus while the three Peters prepare the cures. The alternate Peters agree to call Peter from this universe Peter One, the older Peter Peter Two, and the other Peter Peter Three. Electro, Sandman, and Lizard arrive.
The three Peters initially fight without coordination. Sandman chases them across scaffolding, Lizard goes after MJ and Ned, and Electro uses the arc reactor to increase his power. Peter One stops the fight long enough to make the three Peters coordinate as a team. Peter Three helps Peter One deliver Connors's cure, turning the Lizard back into human form.
Peter Two receives Marko's cure and triggers it while engulfed in sand, restoring Flint Marko to human form. The three Peters then confront Electro, but the arc reactor makes him too powerful for them to approach. Octavius arrives and appears to attack Peter, but he removes the arc reactor from Electro and returns it to Peter.
Peter Three places the cure on Electro, draining his electrical power and restoring him to Max Dillon. Max speaks with Peter Three afterward and says he had expected Spider-Man to be Black. Ned opens a portal while trying to escape Lizard with MJ, and Strange returns from the Mirror Dimension. Lizard knocks Ned from the scaffolding, and Strange's Cloak of Levitation saves him.
Strange sees the three Peters and the cured visitors, then learns Peter has been trying to help them. Before Strange can use the box, Goblin arrives and attacks. He destroys the Macchina di Kadavus with a pumpkin bomb.
The damaged spell breaks open the sky, and figures from other universes begin appearing through multiversal rifts. The explosion knocks MJ from the scaffolding. Peter One dives after her, but Goblin intercepts him. Peter Three leaps after MJ and catches her before she hits the ground.
The Statue of Liberty's shield breaks loose and falls to the pedestal. Peter Two saves Connors, Octavius, and Max from falling. Strange tries to seal the expanding rifts while Peter One fights Goblin on the fallen shield.
Peter One overpowers Goblin, raises the glider blade, and tries to kill him. Peter Two steps between them and silently stops the strike. Goblin stabs Peter Two in the back.
Peter Three throws the Goblin cure to Peter One, who injects Norman. The cure restores Norman, who looks at the destruction and reacts to what he has done. Peter Two remains alive after the stabbing. Strange struggles to hold the rifts closed.
Peter realizes the visitors came because they know Peter Parker is Spider-Man and proposes a new spell that will make everyone forget Peter Parker entirely. Strange tells Peter that everyone who knows and loves him will have no memory of him. Peter accepts and asks Strange to cast it.
Peter says goodbye to Peter Two and Peter Three, then goes to MJ and Ned. He tells them they will forget who he is and promises to find them and explain everything. Ned and Peter share their handshake and hug.
MJ tells Peter to wait to say he loves her until he sees her again. Peter and MJ kiss as Strange casts the spell. The new spell takes effect at dawn. Max, Octavius, Norman, Marko, Connors, Peter Two, and Peter Three return to their universes.
Peter leaves MJ before the spell fully reaches her. The sky clears, and the multiversal breach closes. Everyone in Peter's universe forgets Peter Parker. A few weeks later, Jameson continues broadcasting about Spider-Man and demands that he unmask.
Peter walks through New York unrecognized and rehearses an explanation from a handwritten note before entering MJ's donut shop. MJ and Ned are there together, and their conversation reveals that they got into MIT. MJ asks Peter what he wants, and he starts to introduce himself before ordering coffee instead.
He asks MJ if she is excited for MIT, and she repeats her line about expecting disappointment. Peter completes the phrase, and MJ pauses. Peter sees the injury above her eye from the Statue of Liberty fight and asks if she is all right.
When MJ asks whether there is anything else, Peter pockets his note and leaves without revealing their history. Peter visits May's grave and leaves a flower. Happy arrives and does not recognize him. When Happy asks how Peter knew May, Peter says he knew her through Spider-Man, and Happy says the same.
They speak about May's work helping people. Peter tells Happy that the people May helped will keep her work going, then leaves Happy at the grave. Peter moves into a small apartment. A landlord tells him rent is due on the first of the month.
Peter brings in boxes, including a GED study manual and the LEGO Emperor figure from the set he built with Ned. That night, Peter listens to a police scanner app, sets out the coffee cup from MJ's shop, and uses a sewing machine to make a new red and blue Spider-Man suit. He puts on the suit, leaves through the window, and swings through snowy New York over Rockefeller Plaza. During the credits, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) sits in a tropical bar with Venom and asks the Bartender (Cristo Fernández) about this universe's heroes and major events, including the Avengers, Tony Stark, Thanos, and the Blip.
Eddie decides to go to New York and find Spider-Man, but Strange's spell sends him and Venom back to their own universe before they leave the bar. A small piece of the symbiote remains on the counter and moves on its own. After the credits, a preview shows Doctor Strange dealing with multiversal consequences, seeking out Wanda Maximoff, encountering America Chavez, Mordo, Christine Palmer, and a distorted alternate version of himself..
