The story revolves around Jolbeshya a motley group of unwilling sex workers, forced into the flesh trade by sea pirates who operate in the dark waters of the Sundarban and ports bordering Burma and Bangladesh. A Nature photographer on an assignment gets lost in the Sundarban. When he does not turn-up after a couple of months, his ad-film maker friend goes in search of him. During her journey, she finds clues that fit like a jigsaw puzzle but also draws her into maze. Rituparna`s portrayal as the diva in the forest is part real and part fiction.
