Ken, Gil, Hezzie and Gabe are members of the Country and Western band 'The Hoosier Hotshots.' They get involved with the beautiful Margie MacGregor, the scheming villain Pamela Trent and horse races. The Hoosier Hotshots discover that a horse will trot like a champion only when he hears a march played on a washboard. —Robert Snobbish Pamela Trent (June Vincent) arrives in an Arkansas town for the harness races with her champion trotter, Royal Storm, and hires Bill Nolan (Stuart Hart) as her trainer and also falls in love with him. Bill is oblivious to her charms, however, as he is in love with Margie McGregor (Gloria Henry), who is raising her kid-sister Toni (Elinor Donahue) following the death of their parents.
