The adventures of Robert of Nottingham, the son of Robin Hood. Robert of Nottingham, the son of Robin Hood, goes to the aid of the Queen Mother and the beautiful Lady Catherine, who are fleeing the cruel Regent, William of Pembroke, who has the King imprisoned in the castle. Robert, Catherine and Friar Tuck enter the guarded castle and free the King, but Robert and Catherine are captured. —Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net> A sequel of sorts to traditional Robin Hood tales, by focusing instead on a son of Robin Hood and by being set a few decades after the traditional tales. John "Lackland", King of England (reigned 1199-1216) has died and his underage son Henry III (also known as Henry of Winchester, reigned 1216-1272) has succeeded him. The boy is too young to take any actual administrative decisions, and the aging military officer William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke (c. 1146-1219) has been appointed as his regent. Pembroke plans to become an absolute ruler and to abolish the Magna Carta which limits the powers of the English monarchs. Robert of Nottingham (Robin's son) leads a rebellion against the would-be autocrat. He is assisted by veteran members of the Merry Men who can still fight, and who can provide training for the organization's new recruits. —Dimos I
