Unable to cope with unemployment, a tiler arrives in Athens, only to face equally grave problems. The only way out for him and his friends is a lucrative heist. But when freedom is at stake, what good is the promise of a treasure? Unable to cope with long-term unemployment, 27-year-old tiler Panos takes the first train to Athens, hopeful of building a better future for himself. Instead, he quickly discovers that rampant unemployment is shrivelling up the middle class, and the city's conditions are far from ideal. Faced with even greater challenges, Panos encounters two other lost souls: Stamatis, a jobless 19-year-old layabout, and Thanasis, a troubled delinquent. This chance meeting not only leads to a burgeoning friendship but also to an inevitable tragedy. Desperate for a way out, they plan a lucrative heist at a vulnerable dairy factory, believing it could set them up for life. However, when youth is squandered and freedom is at stake, what good is the promise of a treasure? —Nick Riganas Panos comes to Athens in search for a better life. He is fed up with life in the countryside, unemployment and the whole situation with his family. He hooks up with a bunch of ambitious- but unemployed- teenagers. One night at a disco, Panos beats up a guy who is asking for trouble. He leaves the club along with his friends. The other guy cannot calm down without taking revenge.
