The Turkish-German film is written and directed by Fatih Akin and won the Prix du Scenario at Cannes. A lonely widower in Germany finds comfort and company in Yeter, a prostitute, and asks her to move in with him. She dies shortly after and the widower's son attempts to search her daughter, living in Turkey. During his search, he rediscovers his roots and decides to stay back in Turkey, renting an apartment. The movie's unhurried pace and interwoven stories make for interesting viewing.
