A silent comedy starring the legendary Buster Keaton. This is the story about an engineer, the girl he loves, the train that he works on and the Civil War. Buster Keaton stars as the engineer who volunteers for the Confederates. However, he is far too important to be sent to the front lines. But his girl thinks that he is a coward. As the war goes on, the train `The General` gets hi-jacked by Union soldiers. Now it is up to Buster Keaton to chase the train down, retake the engine and warn the Confederacy!
