The body of a young woman is found in a small and quiet town in North Italy. A detective from the nearby main city is called to solve the mystery. The body of a young girl is found beside an alpine lake in northern Italy. Sanzio, a middle-aged police officer, is in charge of the investigation. He is almost at retirement age and has an ill wife who does not recognize him. In this apparently quiet town, Sanzio, pursued by his family troubles, will find more than just the truth. —1felco A police procedural against the backdrop of the investigator's family problems. A young woman is found dead by an Alpine lake near Udine. Commissario Sanzio investigates, finding plenty of suspects in the victim's small town: her father and sister, her boyfriend, a blood-simple neighbor and his domineering father, her former employer, and his ex-wife. Sanzio focuses more on understanding the emotional world of the victim and those she knew as on other evidence.
