Jagdeo Prasad, born in Kurhari, Bihar, emerged as a revolutionary leader known as "Indian's Lenin." Educated at Patna University, he opposed oppressive systems like the Panchkathia practice and embraced socialism under leaders such as Chandradeo Verma and Ram Manohar Lohia. Initially active in the Samyukta Socialist Party, he later founded the Shoshit Samaj Party to fight caste and class oppression, edited socialist magazines, urged landless laborers to seize lands, served briefly as Bihar's Deputy CM, and was killed by police on 5 September 1974 during a mass protest.
