Narayana Kaimal, a successful lawyer, loses his eyesight and has to rely on his servant Appu. He regains his eyesight after a while but pretends to be blind in order to test his children. A strict lawyer wants to keep a firm hand over his children's lives. Though adults and unhappy with his ways, they feel stranded under him and express their reactions in different ways, and different from each other. This leads to strains further complicated when the lawyer goes blind due to an illness.
