The Wendigo
A magical being constructs beautiful objects. This film exists as an artifact entirely owned by the director. It is about alchemy. The ideas of this film are in process and are continuing to evolve. The context is intricately spatial. For example, the flower is in a room and the view is through the window of the room, and the colors of summer and autumn and winter are blended, since the flower is blooming, yet the first snow is on the ground outside so that reflections of white appear to have the same value as the petals of the hothouse flower. The orange fall leaves in the far distance appear to be on the table in the room through a deceptive trick of the window glass, yet the light is genuine and real. —Director - Liz Kennedy This project involves the desire to write, to do something between codifying senses and expressing feelings about things that are. It is also, in a way about alchemy, the drive to create precious metal and substance from what is left of an undesired experience and to glorify memories of great teachers. The film began in 2022 and is not yet complete although some fragments are viewable. —Director - Liz Kennedy
