An Austrian prince flees his homeland after the Nazis take over and settles in London. While in London, he meets a beautiful Austrian émigré who makes him realize his mistake in leaving Austria. Marta's father, Professor Keller (Egon Brecher), disapproves of their romance and they go their separate ways. Kurt becomes a London playboy and romances socialite Barbara Murdock (Kay Linaker). Marta and her father open a Viennese restaurant and dedicate themselves to helping fellow refugees.
