Makis Bitsakos loves football and aspires to become a great professional player. After a short but brilliant career, he is seriously injured and needs money to save his leg. Athens, Greece, 1981. More than anything, amateur footballer Makis Bitsakos aspires to become a great professional player. After all, the kid is a natural at football. However, Makis lacks resources and connections. In contrast, Nikitas, the only son of Aristotelis Archos, a cruel but self-made shipowner, is used to having it all. But not this time. When fate intertwines the lives of Nikitas and Nasia, Makis' younger sister, the couple must confront prejudice to have a future together. In the meantime, a flagrant foul incapacitates Makis, putting an abrupt end to his short but promising football career.
