After her son's death, a Polish singer travels across Guatemala with his unknown partner, confronting grief, secrets and the limits of love. Marta, a once-famous Polish singer, travels to Guatemala after the sudden death of her son, Daniel. At the airport, she is met by Marco, Daniel's partner, whose existence she never knew about. As they travel across the country to bring Daniel's body home, the two struggle to navigate their grief, cultural differences and conflicting ideas about the man they both loved. Their journey becomes a confrontation with unspoken truths, unresolved pasts and the limits of their understanding of Daniel. Told in an intimate, almost documentary style, the film explores how loss can bring strangers together while revealing the distance that can exist between people who believe they know someone.
