Inspired by real events, this is the story of an open-minded teenage British girl who moves from a very liberal, open English society, to an infamous red-light area in somewhere in Asia. Here, she ends up finding her true origin. In the UK she has qualified as a lawyer and loves to dance, as she has been taught at a private dance academy. She has never traveled to her parents' homeland. She decides to travel thereafter her parents have already flown to Punjab. She plans a very short stay, due to work commitments in the UK but, unexpectedly, the situation changes during her visit to Punjab. After arriving in Punjab and meeting with a school teacher, who comes to teach local area children, she feels a sense of lust towards him. She is very liberal and has secret friendships with different people - later including a brother of well-known business personality who invites her to attend a party. While attending this party, she meets with several key people including a social worker and Lawyer, the businessman, his wife who is unknown to Amber, is also a big name lawyer, and his other brother. Her Dad, while on his way to pick her up from the party, is seen with a dead body and is accused of the murder. During this same party, Amber becomes involved in a murder inquiry as an eye witness. She is conflicted because earlier she had seen her father with the victim. As a result of several witness statements, including her own, the court sentences her Dad, life imprisonment.
