When Holly flees a café without paying in Holly, Michigan, her plans derail into community service at a local vet clinic. Between adorable patients and a charming veterinarian, this Christmas detour might become her favorite destination. Veterinarian Holly stops in the small town that shares her name. She grabs a cup of coffee at the local café, but when she goes to pay, they don't accept credit cards. Despite trying, there's nowhere to withdraw cash, so she leaves her business card and drives on. However, she's stopped by the police and accused of dodging the bill. She is sentenced to a week of community service with Henry at the town's animal hospital. It turns out to be an unusual week for Holly.
