Four-time widow Louisa May Foster sees a psychologist to discuss her marriages, in which her husbands (humble businessman Edgar, blase millionaire Rod, bohemian painter Larry, and nightclub singer Pinky) got rich and died because of greed. This black comedy opens with Louisa Foster donating a multimillion-dollar check to the IRS. The tax department thinks she's crazy and sends her to a psychiatrist.
